Functional Training is a type of training that is based around your everyday movements to strengthen you up for everyday life. From stacking shelves in Sainsbury's to just carrying your children around and about the house Functional training can help you.
Functional training originates from Physical therapists that had designed rehabilitation exercises to mimic what their patients were doing at home, and at work to get them back on their feet from an injury or surgery.

At CPT we believe that Functional training is so important. The difference between Functional training and other types of resistance training such as Body building or Strength training is that functional training is for everyday life. It is a must have, Functional training is the difference between when you're getting on into your later years in life, and on how much mobility and self control you will have and not needing to depend on being looked after everyday. Not only that but it is the difference between you gaining full range of movement and recovery again after an injury.
